Must Have/Must Do
Must Have/Must Do
I have been at this work at home stuff for quite some time now.
I have read as much as any one can, given the rigors of the day.
A full time j.o.b., a part time internet business and a family
(yada, yada, yada). What do you think is the #1 Must Have on the
guru's list to be successful in this business? A web site? An
autoresponder? How about a hosting account?
Many of the gurus' will tell you, "all of the above". The #1
Must Have for the work at home entrepreneur is DESIRE. I can
tell you that without the burning desire and a picture of success
imbedded in your brain, you don't have a chance! If you don't
have that, please stop reading now and move on to what ever you
do to pass the time. Don't waste any more time here. If you
think that you have those qualities, your test will come soon
enough.
So much for the lecture, I will proceede as though we have the
necessary emotional tools to get the job done. Now lets look
at the physical tools necessary.
As I look back at the humble beginnings of my work at home
operation, I realize (like a lot of us) "boy if I knew
then......". I thought I had all I needed to make it in this
crazy world of the internet. I had a PC, I had an e-mail
address, I had a telephone, what else is there? Basically,
there is nothing else. But we are not talking basics here.
As I said earlier, "If I knew then what I know now......".
What was missing, that elusive piece of the puzzle that makes
everything come together? A simple two word phrase says it
all. "A System"! You are probabaly saying "what's up with
this guy?" Actually, if you think about it, it is that simple.
What am I talking about when I say we need a system? We will
need to line up the tools, resources (including training), and
the marketing strategy(ies) that we will use to promote our
work at home business. You may remember that when I started
I waited for the visitors that did'nt show?
We must decide if we are going to persue e-mail marketing or
link marketing or some combination of both. What tools are
available for each type? What resources are available to
provide the toolos we need? The tools are endless. If we are
doing the e-mail route to start, we will need an autoresponder
to handle the followup necessary for success. We will get
into the details of what to look for in a good autoresponder
tomorrow, for now here is one of two that can be recommended:
http://www.l1nk.com/tLf/Aces.html I will get into the why's
and wherefore's of autoresponders tomorrow, you will understand
the significance of a good autoresponder for your success in
your work at home business.
Successfully,
